Other considerations

We believe in the importance of striving for a more open, diverse and inclusive academy.

Therefore, this conference has adopted the "Recommendations for Promoting Gender Equity and Balance in Tourism Conferences" of the Tourism Education Futures Initiative* .

We also believe in encouraging engaged scholarship and sustainable development. Based on the experience and legacy of our work with the organization of the "23rd Nordic Symposium of Tourism and Hospitality Research", 2-4 October, 2015, we aim to achieve an efficient use of material resources by adopting an environmentally responsible purchasing policy and reducing the CO2 emissions generated by the transportation associated to our event.
